I saw this man busking on Mardi Gras morning, and he struck me because he looked like one of the few sane people left on the streets of the French Quarter. I titled the picture "The Last Sober Reveler" and submitted it for publication. It was picked up by Beyond Words Literary Magazine. They wanted to pair it with an existing story to run in their April edition, but there wasn't a good fit, so they opened up a contest!
